Hi, I'm Liz, I'm a hair stylist. And today, I'm going to show you how to do a bouffant on short hair. So the tools we are going to be using are a comb, a flat iron, hairspray, and a headband. So the first thing that we are going to do is take our comb and comb our hair forward. So we are going to be starting in the crown so you just want to get all of this hair out of the way. And the sides can stay where they are cause you are really just focusing on this section of hair. So we are starting in the crown. And I'm going to start by picking up just a little section of hair. And we are going to be using a good tension for the hair and we are just going to start back combing using the fine teeth of the comb. One, two, and three. And then we are going to work side to side so we are going to grab a piece of hair right next to it. And they are not very wide and they are not very thick. You don't want to have too much hair in your hands. You got to be able to control it with your fingers. One, two, three. So you are just working from side to side all the way forward. We'll pick up sections that are next to each other until you get to where your bangs start so it looks like we are almost there. So we've reached our bang section that's where we are going to stop. We are going to give it a good spray with hairspray before we start to smooth it out. We are going to use our comb. We are not going to be combing through this because we don't want to lose the shape we just put in it. But we just kind of want to rake through it and smooth it out. And you are just going to be doing that until you get a shape that you like. And you can make it as big or small as you want to. I'm going to spray it into place. And now we are going to start by flat ironing the front section of hair or your bangs in sections. Beveling through it and just work to the side in little section till you finish. And you get it looking the way you want it to. So I'm going to place our headband in right behind the bangs and where the back comb starts. And you take your comb and smooth it a little bit more if anything came out of place when you put the headband in. And there you have it. A bouffant for short hair. Thanks for watching.
