Hi, my name is Joanna, and I'm a hairstylist. If there's one thing I hear the most from my clients is that they wished they could get the same look at home that I give them in the salon. So I want to show you a step by step way to use your round brush to create the foundation of your style. So the first thing you're going to do is wait and make sure your hair is about 75 percent dry before you even put the brush in your hair. There are a lot of times I'm sure most of you have tried to just round brush your hair end up getting it stuck because your hair is sopping wet and it's a mess. So you want to get a lot of that water out first before you even put the brush in your hair. So then you're going to take your round brush and your blow dryer with a concentrator. What the concentrator is going to do is allow the air flow to just go straight out directly to the brush to really just focus that air down to seal the cuticle and add some extra shine. So what we're going to do is grab your round brush, the first thing you're going to do is get your round brush and starting with the bangs and take your blow dryer and just focus it down, blow drying the hair, twisting it as you go, really trying to get all that hair dry and then right when it's about dry you kind of push it off to the side, creating that swoopy bang look. The next thing you're going to do is part off the hair on the side, clipping off the excess and start at the bottom, grabbing your round brush and pulling the hair out about 90 degrees from where it lives so just straight out from your head. That's going to give you that lift right at the root which is really where you want it. So you just pull it out, twist that hair, grabbing your blow dryer again and blow drying out, pulling out, twisting, pulling it out and twisting, keep doing that. It's not going to get stuck because your hair is almost dry. This is just going to finish it and really seal those cuticles down. Alrighty and then you're going to continue that on both sides and in the back and for the final step you're going to move to the top and this one you're going to kind of take it up and put it in your hair just like a roller. There's metal on your round brush that's going to heat up when the blow dryer hits it so it's really going to give you that extra lift and that curl, that bend in your hair. So pull your hair up in just like a roller, grabbing your blow dryer and blowing it up and twisting it. Always twisting, keeping it moving. This is going to keep it from tangling and really just keep your hair super smooth. Pull it all the way out, let it drop and there you have it. So, with a little bit of practice, you at home can have that fresh from the salon finish.
