Hi, my name is Ana, and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to be showing you beauty tips on how you can keep your mascara smudge-proof. With a few easy steps, I'll show you how you can wear your mascara longer throughout the day. Let's get started. There are three tools that we are going to use today to apply this look. Our first tool is translucent loose powder. This is going to be used to prep our eyelashes. Our second tool is going to be a clean mascara wand. This is what we'll use to apply the translucent powder to our eyelashes. And our third tool is a good, fresh waterproof mascara. This is what's going to help our mascara to be smudge-proof throughout the day. The first step to keep mascara smudge-proof is to prep your eyelash mascara wand. I'm going to go ahead and take a little bit of that translucent powder, put some in the cap of the powder. Take the mascara wand and dip. Tap off any kind of excess powder. And if you wear contact lenses, you may want to take them out until after the application is finished. Take the mascara wand and put it on the base of your lash line. And just fill your lashes up with the translucent powder. We are basically coating our lashes so that when we put on the mascara, it will adhere better and last longer. Go back for a little bit more if you need to don't forget to tap off the excess. Again, start at the base and move up. Just get a nice coating. Next, we are going to take our mascara; you want to use a fresh mascara. The reason that I say that is because if you have a mascara that's a little bit older and you apply onto the lashes, it may flake, which is really going to create darkness underneath the eyes. A waterproof mascara is the best type of mascara to use to keep your mascara smudge-proof. So again, start at the baseline and move upwards. Now to apply mascara to the bottom lashes, just pull your chin into your, towards your chest, and then apply the mascara. This way, your lashes aren't touching your skin, and it's less likely that you are going to get the mascara on the skin. And if you do, you can just wipe it off. These beauty tips on how to keep your mascara smudge proof should take about four to six minutes to complete. The most important thing to remember when doing this look is that you want to use a good mascara to coat your lashes. And that's why our essential item is our waterproof mascara.
