Hi, my name is Alysse Lemke, and I'm a professional hairstylist, and today I'm going to talk to you about ways to apply hair wax. The only product you're going to need is hair wax. When applying hair wax, I like to warm the product up with my finger and get a big glob on my hand and to get even dispersion through the hair I like to rub it onto my hands, warming the product up so that it can be put through your hair. You don't want to run your hands through and get a whole glob right in the front so I get it all over my hands kind of like lotion except it's much more sticky. And then as you go through your hair, I like to start at the root, that way you can pull the product through the ends and you won't get too much product on the ends weighing your hair down. When you pull it through, I start with my fingertips and then as I get out onto the ends for more piecing, I use the product that's on the rest of my hands. Just remember when you're applying wax to mix it between your hands so that your body heat can warm it up. That way you will evenly disperse it throughout the hair without getting major clumps. Thanks for watching. I'm Alysse Lemke.
