Hi, this is Kristie Kennedy, professional makeup artist. Today, we're going to discuss how to do party makeup. Party makeup is the perfect makeup for those girls that just want to have fun. This is the time you play in color. Let's start. The tools you'll need: beautiful popping colors, your primer for the eyelid, a neutral lip, and your lip pencil and eye shadow brush. Our first step is to apply a primer to the eyelid, starting from inside of the eye, working our way outward, about halfway up to the crease line. The primer is great for enhancing your color, allowing it to last a lot longer and to prevent creasing. Work your way out, short strokes, just where you are going to apply the color and that is your first step. Our second step is to apply our eye color to the lid. Taking short strokes, working our way outward and we want to build upon this color based upon the intensity that we're trying to achieve, working your way outward and be sure to blend back and forth. You can take circular motions, even the color out. Our third step is to apply a nice shimmery color to accent that party look. I'm placing it on the lash line because I already have a bold color, I don't want them to compete, I want them to complement one another. So I stay tightly at the lash line working my way inward and out. And the same for the other side, short strokes, back and forth. It gives you a different look than just having your standard black liner at the base. And that is your third step. Our fourth step is to apply a lip liner. This is going to help prevent your lipstick or lip gloss from bleeding or feathering. That is your fourth step. Our final step is to apply lip color. I chose a neutral color because the eyes have center stage and we don't want our lips competing with the eyes. Let the diva shine. And that is how you apply party makeup. Remember your take home product, a bold metallic shadow. This is Kristie Kennedy. Thank you for watching.
