Hi, I'm Daniela Rowson, I'm a makeup artist and I'm going to show you how to apply foundation for dry skin. So the products that you will need are a good moisturizer, foundation, foundation brush and a face primer. So with dry skin you want to make sure you have a really good base so you want to first moisturize your skin and you want to use just a tiny bit. Make sure that you pick a good product that's really going to sink in to the skin and the moisturizer that I'm doing is time released so this will moisturize the skin all throughout the day and it's not going to dry out right away so want to with a foundation brush just start applying it all over your face and this is a day where moisturizer. You also want to use a cream at night so it soaks in the skin while you're sleeping. Our next step will be the primer, this will make your foundation stay on longer and this will also help with the texture of your skin so if it's really dry it'll smooth things out so you just need a tiny bit. Just one pump and get a little bit with your foundation brush and you can use the same foundation brush, you don't need to use a different one. And our last step will be a good moisturizing foundation, I use the mineralized foundation because it's lighter and it's really good for the skin. So if your skin is dry this will be really good for it, you need about two pumps and get a tiny bit on your brush and you want to work in circle motions. Make sure that you also use a lighter foundation consistency wise because if you use too much and your skin is dry it'll show off a lot of texture and it'll show the dryness in your skin. So make sure if your skin is really dry that you use a cream at night and then a really good moisturizer for the day that has a time release formula in it so it'll moisturize throughout the day.
