Hi, my name is Adrienne, and I'm a makeup artist. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to apply gray and white eye shadow. This will give you a beautiful look that's soft and smoky that you you can wear in the day or evening. Now, let's get started. For our first tool, we're going to use our gray eye shadow. This is a cream shadow that we're going to apply with our fingertips to give a soft look. Then, our second tool is going to be our white eye shadow. We'll use this from our powder palate. So, we're going to use the color that's on the far left. This is a beautiful white color that we're going to use for highlighting. Our third tool is going to be our black eyeliner pencil. This looks great with gray colors. So, we're going to apply this for a finishing touch on the eyeliner. Our fourth tool is going to be our mascara. This is going to give a nice volume and thickness to the lashes. Our fifth tool is going to be our eye shadow brush. This is a soft, flat brush that is going to be used to pick up the white powder eye shadow. For our first step, you're going to take your eye shadow that has the gray color right here. This is a cream product. And then, you're going to take your ring finger, and you're going to rub into that product. You're going to apply that directly on the eyelid, and just blend into it. Using your fingers is the best way to apply this product. We're just going to blend all the way up to the crease area, which is this natural fold. You can blend with your other finger that has no product just to kind of make sure there are no hard edges. For your second step, take your eye shadow palate that has the white, and you're going to get your flat shadow brush, and just going to dig into that product. Once you have enough, go ahead and start to apply underneath this brow area. This is the arch. We also call this the brow bone. And, you're just going to lightly pat into it until you get enough product that you are really satisfied with. You're going to take that product again, tap any excess, and you're going to apply it right here in this tear duct. What this is going to do is just going to give you a nice brightening effect to the eye. Then, that's probably the best tool to use, since you're also working with cream shadows. Go ahead and repeat this step on the other side, applying underneath the brows in the arch area in a patting motion. Going back to the shadow, tap, and then right here in this tear duct, again, blend with your fingers if needed. Then, for the third step, you're going to take your black eyeliner pencil, and you're going to do a soft line on the upper lash line. Take your time, and go in soft, dash line marks to ensure that you get a clean line. This pencil has a soft sponge tip applicator for blending, so I'm going to use that end just to soften it. If you want to take it a step further as far as the drama, you can actually apply a little bit of that liner on the bottom lash line. And so, I'm going to go ahead and do that. I'm going to start from the corner, and just kind of go one third way in, just like that. And then, I'm going to take that blending tip on the other side of the pencil, and I'm going to softly go over that, and just give it a soft line finish. Then, for your finishing touch, take your mascara, preferably one that is lash building, and is going to really pump up those lashes, and you're going to go ahead and apply a nice coat of mascara, maybe two or three coats if you really want to pump up the drama. Start at the base of the lashes, and go in a zigzag motion outward. This will help give even distribution of mascara. When applying mascara to the bottom lashes, repeat that zigzag motion to make sure you do an even distribution of mascara. And, I'm really just kind of going on the tips of the lashes, because you don't need much at all for it to really show up. If you get any mascara on the skin, you can take a cotton swab, and you can just clean up underneath. Applying gray and white eye shadow should take anywhere from three to five minutes to do. The most important thing to remember is that you blend the gray shadow really well with your fingers to give that soft, smoky look. That is why the gray shadow is our essential item to have for this look. Combined, these items should range anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars. And, that's it. That's how you apply gray and white eye shadow. Thanks for watching.
