Hi, my name is Ana and I'm a makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to apply gold eye shadow for tan skin. I'm going to use an eye shadow placement brush, a gold eye shadow and mascara. For best results, prep your eyelids with a good eye shadow base which I've already done. Next take your eye shadow placement brush and pick up some of the gold eye shadow and place it all over the eyelid. For tan skin, choosing a yellow gold will complement your skin tone. So I'm just applying it from the inner corner to the outer corner all over the center of the lid. You can pair up gold eye shadows with a lot of different colors. You can use browns or plums. You could even use some blues if you'd like. Then with your brush, just kind of smooth it out. I'm going to take a little bit of the gold eye shadow and place it on the lower lash line as well. This just kind of opens up the eye a bit and acts as a really good highlighter on the bottom. To complete the look, use two coats of mascara. Place the brush at the base of the lash, move the brush side to side and pull it in an upward motion. A basic black mascara is great to use every day. You can use a brown mascara but two coats of brown mascara is really black anyways. Again put it at the base of the lash and just kind of move it back and forth and pull it in an upward motion. Using gold eye shadow is an easy way to brighten up your face. If you're on the go and you need to just choose one eye shadow you can never go wrong with gold. Thanks for watching.
