Hi, I'm Sherita Leslie, and I'm a celebrity makeup artist and I'm going to show you how to apply gold eye shadow for dark skin. Gold eye shadow looks amazing on dark skin because the colors really compliment our natural skin tone. The tools that you'll need today are some gold eye shadow and today I'm going to be using a highly pigmented loose eye shadow, a fluffy crease brush and a bronzy brown and also concealer. The first thing we're going to do is apply our concealer to our eye as a base and this is also going to act as our eye primer because sometimes when you have dark skin it's hard to find primers that work really well with our skin tone so I really like to use concealers and all this does is just gives your eye shadow something to adhere to and makes it last longer. So we're just going to work that in and just pat it in with your fingers, perfect and we're just going to do the same thing over here, just work it in this eye, just lightly lighten our lid and especially when you have dark skin your eye already has so much color and just by lightening up just a little bit that just makes the color from the eye shadow pop out. I'm going to apply a gold eye shadow and we're just going to start in the middle and just work our way out to the sides and just kind of like in a windshield wiper motion, just working our way back and forth. Perfect and we're just going to do the same thing on our other eye and I absolutely love gold eye shadow because it just gives you that natural pop and it's a color that you can wear for day or night. Just taking it back with a windshield wiper motion again. Then you take like a brown coppery shadow and actually this is a bronzer but we can also use it as a shadow and just work it into the crease a little bit and just define out our eye just a little more and the contrast of the colors will just make the gold just pop just a little bit more, just a little bit.
