Hi, my name is Brandie Johnson, and I'm a makeup artist in the Los Angeles area, and today for you I'll be demonstrating how to apply glamorous makeup for dark skin. First, you will need a sheer pressed powder, one that is closest to your skin tone. To apply the sheer pressed powder, you will need a Kabuki style brush. This will help you apply it evenly. Along with the brush, you will need your eye shadows. Along with the eye shadow, you will also need a flat round rounded makeup brush. After applying the eye shadow, you will want to find a dark eyeliner to help give the eyes an extra pop. After you finish applying eyeliner, you'll need your blush and with the blush you need to get a flat angled rounded brush. After you've done that, you'll want to get that lengthening mascara. That will give that extra definition to the eyes and last but not least, you want to make sure you have your lip liner and your lipstick to complete the look. The first step will be to apply your sheer pressed powder with the Kabuki brush. Starting in the cheek area and making sure you maintain the circular motion to make sure you evenly distribute the makeup. You want to continue this motion all over the face and don't forget about the neck to avoid any lines of demarcation. And that's the first step. Next you'll need your eye shadows along with that flat paneled round brush to apply them. The next step will be to apply the eye shadow starting at the base of the eyelid and working your way up in an even consistent movement. And remember because this look is a glamor look, you are allowed to have a little bit more intensity with the color. Next we'll apply our darker tone. Starting at the base of the eyelid and just blending up, then proceed to the other eye, blending consistently and then you want to go ahead and add a highlighter color underneath the eyebrow. This allows the eyebrow to have a heightened look. Make sure you get it blended, you blend everything thoroughly and this completes the eye shadow. Next we're going to proceed with the eyeliner. Holding the eye tautly and making sure we concentrate on keeping the eyeliner at the base of the eyelid, extending it just a little bit past the eye, proceed to the next eye. Then you want to proceed to going under the under eye. And that completes the eye look for now. The next step would be adding your voluminous lengthening mascara. When applying mascara, you want to keep a consistent but small back and forth motion so that you can evenly distribute the mascara on the lashes just as follows and do it on the other eye and don't forget about those lower lids. We do want the eyes to pop. And then you're done. Then the next step will be applying your blush. Applying this with an angled round blush brush, making sure you're slightly smiling, holding the brush at an angle and concentrating only on the cheek area. And that completes the blush and last but not least to complete the look, we're going to use our lip liner and lipstick. When applying lip liner you always want to start from the outer corner of the lip and work your way in, blending just a little bit. Then we're going to proceed with the lipstick. And just to give the lips a little extra pop, we're going to add a little lip gloss. And that completes the look. Now remember, to complete this look you want to make sure you have a sheer pressed powder that is closest to your skin tone, along with a Kabuki style brush to get an even distribution. Also, you want to make sure you have an eye shadow and a flat paneled round eye shadow makeup brush. Along with that you want to make sure you have an eyeliner so that you can give the eyes that extra pop along with some blush and an angled round blush brush, some mascara that is volumizing and lengthening to give the eyes that extra definition. And last, but not least, your lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss. This will totally complete your look, and that's how you apply makeup for a glamorous look for dark skin.
