Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm a makeup artist. And today, I'm going to be showing you how to apply foundation. We usually like to start with a primer that just smooths everything out. And then you can follow that up with either a foundation stick or a concealer stick, very easy to use. You could either use a liquid foundation or there's always the compact powder that acts as foundation but powder. And then I like to kind of finish everything off with a the loose powder. So step one is going to be to use your primer. Primer isn't always necessary. If you over do it it can dry your face out. I like to use it for a special event. If you are going somewhere where you know there's going to be lots of photos taken it helps to make sure everything is nice and smooth. Step two take a concealer stick. I usually like to start around my face, on my nose. I like to come out from there and mark everything out. And make sure that you blend along the jawline because that's where a lot of women make mistakes. Forget to blend so you have this line and that looks like you are wearing a mask. And our next step is going to be to take your all over concealer. I usually like to choose something in a buff color. So what you are going to want to start with is come right around the mouth. And I always like to create a more exaggerated mouth that way it stands out. Come through and you know just make sure that you get right around the nose area cause there tends to be a lot of red right around there. I'm going to make sure to get rid of that. Come through under your eyes. Blend it out cause that tends to just smooth everything as opposed to pulling everything in. And come out to your temples and make sure that you blend it. And make sure to be careful not to get it into the hairline because you don't want it to be obvious that you have makeup on. Then come around your jawline. Make sure you blend that really well too. You don't want to have two toned face. And then come up onto your forehead blend around the temples. And kind of back over your eyes. And it should be nice and smooth. The last step is optional. Usually what I like to do is take a translucent powder, powder brush, loose powder. Go through and dust it on. Get all that foundation set and you should be ready to go. And that's a tip for how to apply your foundation. Thank you for watching.
