About the Expert
Hi, I'm Christine. I'm a makeup artist and I'm going to show you how to apply eye makeup like the stars. So, the things that you'll need to do this are a few things, a lot of stars like to wear gold bronzy eye shadows. So, I have a variety here and some brushes to apply that shadow so like a flat one to put on the lid, and a fluffy one for blending in the crease as well as the kicker for celebrity eye makeup and that's some false lashes, little pieces and some tweezers to apply them with. Alright let's get started. So first off, I'm going to put a bronzy color on the lid. You know something with a little bit of shimmer and I'm going to take that flat brush, tap off any excess and put it directly on the lid. So, just tap it on. This will get the most shadow on there where you want it and not all over the face from the lash line to the crease and just make it an even wash of color and now I'm going to take a darker brown and that fluffy brush and we're going to go into the crease and just carve out a little bit of shadow there. So I start on the outer corner, do it nice and lightly back and forth, work my way in. You can raise your eyebrows if you need to to bring out that crease so you can see it a little better, alright. Now I'm going to go back to that flat brush and I'm going to find the lightest kind of gold color that I have and you see celebrities do this all the time where they take this light color and put it on the inner corners and that kind of brightens up the whole look. So I'm just going to place it right there in the inner corner and bring it inwards and then you can also use a little bit of this color under the brow to pop your eyebrow bone. Okay now for those lashes. So go out and get yourself those pieces because they're easier to apply than the strips, but if you want to be ambitious, go for the strips as well but we're just going to do the pieces. You take some tweezers and you just grab a piece from there. I've poured out some of the glue onto this dish. So you just do a little dip into the glue. You just need a tiny little piece and you're going to apply this right on your lash line, kind of where your natural lash would go anyway. So you take your tweezers and you apply it as close to your normal lashes as you can and you can do as many as you want, just do a little dip in the glue and then apply. And you'd be amazed at how much your eyes will open up. And depending on what glue you got, these could last up to a couple weeks. They have different types of glue and you can get these at the grocery store, drugstore, or also at like Sephora or department stores. But, no celebrity would be seen on the red carpet without some false lashes. It might take a little bit of practice to get it just so. The glue doesn't dry instantly so you have some time. And there you go. That is how you can apply eye shadow like the stars. Definitely get yourself some bronzy shimmery eye shadow that's so popular on the red carpet as well as the must have item which is those false lashes, those little pieces. You can play with them and kind of get the hang of it but you can apply them with tweezers and they will make such a difference. So have fun and experiment. Thanks for watching. I'm Christine, bye.
