Hi, I'm Surjaya Cruz, celebrity makeup artist, and today I'm going to be sharing with you some everyday eye shadow tips for brunettes. We're going to be using our mascara. We're going to be using a brown eyeliner pencil, a very natural brown eyebrow pencil, a neutral shade of eye shadow. We're going to need a few brushes. These are the brushes we're going to use. Now number one, I love that this blender brush, this is the brush that goes into your crease here and really helps to create that definition okay, it's so important. Second if you apply too much color and also just to get a really smooth veil of color you're going to need a big blender brush like that. And third, you're going to need a brush that really helps to apply color. I call this packing the color in. So, we're going to start by applying the eye shadow. Now, I'm going to be taking a very natural shade of brown, just about three shades darker than the eye shadow, than actually the color of your lid and we're going to shape the eye by placing the eye shadow right in your crease. So, you can start at the bottom outer corner of your eye and you're going to feel this little bone here. So you're just going to follow along the bone, the natural bone structure like right where you see a crease and you're just going to apply it back and forth lightly and with this brush you're also going to be blending it. So continue to apply it until you feel like it's blended very naturally. Go upward, little circles if you can just to get a really nice finish, little circles and then you can pull it down to the outer corner a little. And what this does is it frames up your eye. Next we're going to be using a really light shade to highlight your brow bone. So I've applied it to the flat brush and you're going to take it and gently tap it right along your brow bone kind of from the center of your eyebrow outward. Now we're going to highlight your eye. You're going to be using the flat brush and you're going to be placing the color right along the lower lash line patting it in. You can gently pat right under as well to give it extra highlight and you're going to be going just about halfway in. You can take the same brush. You're going to be taking a soft shimmer color and applying it to the center of your eyelid and patting it just before the end and bringing it up into the crease just a little, just before the crease here, blended perfectly. So now we're going to be using a very important tool which is your eyeliner. I'm going to be using brown, a nice rich shade of brown, kind of a coffee, you know to compliment the brunette hair. So you're going to start with just a little dash if you will in the center of your eye and smash it into your lash line. That's really the trick because all of you have probably seen where it's not smashed in and you get like this little white space of skin. So make sure you smash it in and you just want to go probably from where you see the color of your eye out to the end of your eye line, just very naturally. And there's the brown eyeliner application. Okay ladies, we're going to be doing eyebrows. Please don't neglect your eyebrows. We're going to start with a pencil, very soft, goes on like a powder. It has a little brush on the end too so you can brush it all out and make sure it looks very very natural and it's super quick. Okay, so start just filling in gentle subtle soft little strokes right along your natural shape, follow your natural shape, try not to add to it and if you feel like you have, just wipe it off, it's makeup. So, really quickly we're going to be using our mascara. There are so many different kinds, don't let it confuse you. Find one you like and just go for it. Try different ones too if you want. But the important part is the application. So you're going to start from the root, get it as close to your inner eye line as possible and kind of wiggle it up, close to the inner line and wiggle it up. Here's a quick tip to make sure that your mascara is not clumped. Take a business card, put it next to your eye, just to where your eyelashes are sticking out and brush away, wallah, hopefully you can do it while listening to your favorite song and by the time it's over, you're done with your daily application, you're looking good, feeling great no matter where you go today. The most important part of having your natural look, the product that you must have is mascara. Thanks a lot you guys for watching. I'm Surjaya. See you next time.
