Hi, I'm Liz. I'm a hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to add volume to short hair. The tools we're going to be using are a blow dryer, a nozzle for the blow dryer, a comb, a volumizing spray and a hairspray. So the first step we're going to apply a volumizing spray to the hair. We're just going to start by loosely picking up sections of hair, really focusing on the top and the crown of the hair because that's really where you want to put the volume. Again, really loose sections, it doesn't have to be perfect, but just anywhere you want to see volume in the hair. We're spraying from root to the end and I'm just going to comb it through. Now we'll start blow drying. I'm going to attach the nozzle to the blow dryer to help direct the airflow and then you're going to flip your head over and blow dry your hair to help to start activate the product, to give it the maximum volume. So while your hair is flipped over, you want to just use your hands to lift the hair up off the scalp, blow drying it to give it the most volume you can. Okay so now that you've come up, your hair looks a little crazy but you definitely have the volume in there, flip your head back over and kind of tame it with your fingers. You can also use your comb to control your hair and just use your blow dryer to get the hair dry and use your fingers and your comb to style the hair until you're done. Now once the hair is dry, you can use your hands to kind of fluffy it up, put it where you want to, make sure it's in place and then you'll finish with a little hairspray. And that's how you get volume in short hair. Thanks for watching.
