Hi, my name is Madelon, and I'm a hairstylist. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to add volume to medium-length hair. The first tool you are going to be using is a teasing comb. The second tool you'll need is a medium hold hairspray. You can use any kind you'd like. First thing you want to do is decide where you want to add your volume. Where I like to start my volume is right before my bangs start. So what I'll do is I'll take my first section like so, pull it back, comb up forward. Take the section and lean it forward just slightly and back comb. What you are doing is you are creating a cushioned base of hair pushing down to the root. And then you'll go to your next section and do the same thing. Slightly leaning it forward your combing back. Make sure you really get that comb in there and push that hair down. You can move around to the sides of your head and do the same exact thing. Lifting up and pushing it down. Doing the same thing brushing up and pushing that hair down to create that cushion. When you feel like you have enough volume go through with your light spray. And a good tip is you can go as big as you want cause now we get to tame it. Go through with your teasing comb and just lightly brush down and start to control the shape of your hair. Now for your final step you take your light spray and slightly mist. So that's how you add volume on medium-length hair. Thanks for tuning in.
