About the Expert
Hi, my name is Krista, and I'm a beauty stylist in Tampa, Florida, and today I'm going to show you how to add long natural waves to hair. My main products that I'm going to use today are hairspray, a comb and a Marcel curling iron. So first, you're going to part off the hair creating some curls, starting about an inch down the hair shaft with your Marcel and just kind of curling down, letting it fall. Alway around the face I like to curl my curls back and then I like to switch it up, going from frontward curls to backward curls. And when I say frontward curls to backwards I mean the direction of the curling iron, so. And for this it doesn't need to necessarily be perfect. You just want to get the curls in. As you work through, just kind of make sure that you hold the curling iron on the hair for about ten seconds when it's all in there from root to end. Don't be scared of putting too much heat on. Make sure that the curls have cooled off otherwise you'll just comb it out. So, you go through with your comb and just kind of comb it through. This is going to show you, give you that natural kind of wave. So, this is how you add long natural waves to hair. Your number one tool in doing this is a Marcel curling iron. I'm Krista. I hope this helps.
