Finally, it's something Tyra wears that I like.

Tyra Banks was among the presenters at yesterday's 2009 BET Awards in LA. She ditched traditional redcarpet gowns for a menswear-inspired satin ensemble.

And while there are people who say she looked horrible I insist she was great. And I can tell you why.

She was the most originally dressed celeb of the ceremony. While we're all so likely to forget what, for instance, Beyonce Knowles was wearing that night, we'll definitely remember Tyra for her outfit. I see it as a good publicity act of it some kind.

Secondly, her look was really balanced and complete. From her white tail ring to suede cement grey heels, blue satin skinny pants, vest and blouse, she looked great. Coco Chanel elegant and feminine. I liked the bow design on the shirt.

Her look was very androgynous, and it was cool.

Nearly natural make up and simply styled hair didn't distract attention from her outfit and actually accentuated it.

So if you ask me, I give my thumbs up to Banks' style at last night's show where she presented Lil Wayne with the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist award and LeBron James with Best Male Athlete.
