Cycle 13 Episode 3 The 411

The 411


The episode begins with the girls going to the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency where they are greeted by Nigel Barker. He introduces Sean Patterson, head of Wilhelmina, who has flown from New York to meet with each of them.
This is their one chance to impress him.  Sean reminds the girls that the competition is especially tough for petite models.  One by one they go in front of Sean and Nigel to strut their stuff.  After their evaluations Sean announces that one of the girls doesn’t have what it takes and will have to leave the competition right away.  The girls are shocked to find out that Rachel will be packing her bags and going home.  
The next day, the girls meet up with a rude photographer who challenges them to take a perfect picture in one shot.  When no one is able to, a bespectacled Tyra in disguise shows up and gives it a try, but when the photographer yells at her she becomes so angry she transforms into modeling superhero Super Smize!  
Super Smize has the ability to stomp the runway to dust with just one stomp, the power to fiercely freeze in any pose, but the most lethal weapon in her arsenal is her ability to smize—smile with her eyes!
Super Smize teaches the girls her most valuable skill and tells the girls the next time they see her will be in her Fortress of Fierceness where they will battle it out to see who has the best smize.  When they arrive there they are met by Tyra, who explains that Super Smize had a school picture emergency and couldn’t make it.  Tyra tells the girls that the winners of this challenge will get to have dinner at her favorite new restaurant, The Bazaar, with Sean Patterson from Wilhelmina.  The girls wear special outfits that only reveal their eyes and compete in a Smize-off.  Tyra announces the winners:  Sundai, Courtney, Brittany, Laura, Bianca and Kara.  The girls who lost the challenge are surprised to find out they will have to wash dishes at the restaurant!
For this week’s photo shoot the girls arrive at Santa Anita racetrack and are met by Jay Manuel who tells them they will be posing on horses will real-life jockeys.  The twist is that they will be posing nude covered only in extra-long hair extensions.   It’s a challenging but beautiful shoot.  
The guest judge joining the panel this week is Lauren Conrad, reality star and clothing designer.  The panel decides that Erin had the best photo of the week and they put Bianca and Courtney in the bottom two.  Ultimately, it’s Courtney who goes home since the judges felt she had given up during this week’s photo shoot.
