Bring the Bling

Nothing says "awards season" as distinctly -- and expensively -- as Cartier, Bulgari, and Van Cleef and Arpels, and 2012 promises to really bring the bling. Whether it's a bib-style necklace, oversize sapphire chandelier earrings, stacked pave diamond cuffs or an eye-catching cocktail ring, the stars will go big or go home. Last season, emeralds were the favorites, but 2012 is all about creative and unique color combinations. Gold is still going strong in accessories, to be paired with season fire opals, peridots, rubies, amethysts, topaz and even lapis lazuli.
