TypeF.com is here to help you look and feel your best in some not so familiar situations. In the typeF Survival Guide Series, we look at different scenarios that you may encounter and provide you with solutions to face these challenging fashion and beauty situations. Hi I'm fashion stylist and typeF expert, Lilliana Vazquez. Remember, it's her special day but you want to be sure you look like your most fabulous self too. So keep makeup natural and clean for daytime wedding but consider glamming it up for evening nuptials. In this episode we'll show you makeup tips that will get your inspiration flowing and keep you looking ultra fabulous all day long. Here's what you're going to need primer, foundation, blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, waterproof mascara and lipstick. Your makeup should start with a freshly washed face patted dry. Apply a primer that has skin brightening properties all over your face. It helps foundation last longer and the brightener will give you fresh and glowing skin. Next up is the foundation. The key to finding the perfect foundation is to match your skin tone to the color in natural daylight. Now if you're unsure of your skin tone, visit typeF.com's "Just For You Module" to personalize your skin type and discover the right shape for you. Dab a dime size amount of foundation on your cheeks, forehead and jawline and make sure to blend thoroughly with a foundation brush or your ring finger and set with a light powder to keep your skin looking even and flawless. To avoid looking washed out in photographs make sure you apply a subtle blush to your cheeks as well. Darker skin tones can pull off a deep rose colored hue while all of the medium skin tones should try pink and orangey peach hues but stay away from too light of a pink and orange shade. Those look best on fair skin. When applying, remember to smile in the mirror to ensure you pinpoint the apples of your cheeks exactly and gently blend upwards towards the hairline. When it comes to your eye makeup, how much you apply also depends on the time and type of wedding. A glamorous smoky eyed look may be great for an evening affair but not for a beach wedding. So it's important to consider when and where the wedding takes place. Simple eye makeup in neutral colors will showcase your eyes best in photos and give you a timeless look. For an outdoor wedding, start by applying a light neutral shadow all over the eyelid from the lash line all the way up to the eyebrows. Use a complimentary color from the lash line to the crease. Make sure to blend thoroughly. Use an eye shadow or a pencil in a chocolate brown to line the eyes at the lash line and give them definition. Double the amount of mascara to help your eyes really pop. Evening weddings are a perfect opportunity to go glam but make sure you keep your makeup classic. You don't want to date your look or look like a prom queen gone bad. For a more dramatic eye use shadows with shimmer. A metallic shade of gray is great for a smoky look. For added drama use a liquid or gel eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible. Finish with two coats of mascara. When choosing lipstick, stick with your usual color preferences for your skin tone but if you want to glam it up at night, try shades of lipstick in deeper hues such as mulberry, plum or true red. When applying lipstick, blot your lips and lightly powder before applying a second coat of lipstick for a more lasting effect. There you have it, some great ideas for looking fantastic day or night on that special wedding day. Remember girls, always bring a compact, blush, lip gloss and a tube of concealer for mid wedding touch ups. Thanks for joining us and I'll see you on another episode of typeF Survival Guide.
