Hi I'm celebrity stylist and typeF expert, Lilliana Vazquez. A job interview can be extremely nerve-racking but your goal is to get the position. So make a statement by choosing a hairstyle that is professional and takes into account your unique texture and face shape. Let's take a look at a few hairstyle ideas that will make sure your voice is heard. Here's what you'll need, volume enhancing shampoo, alcohol free hairspray, hair ties, a round brush, hair serum and a flatiron. A great option is going sleek and straight. To style long thick hair, towel dry and apply an alcohol free spray to add shine. Split your hair into a center part and divide into sections. Using a round brush, blow dry each section from roots to ends until you have a nice textured finish. Smooth and tame frizz with a flatiron. Set with a smoothing serum to retain shape and shine. This also works great on short hair. Now let's take a look at longer hairstyles with waves. This is always a smart option. For thick hair wash with a volume enhancing shampoo and then blow dry as you normal would but, with the hair around your face, wrap it around the barrel of a brush as you dry to create strong waves on the bottom and then you want to apply a styling mousse or gel. Flip your hair over, scrunch and comb the product throughout with your fingers loosening up the curls. Flip your hair back over and shape the curls with your hands. You can even use a bobby pin to help manage and shape your style as well. Once you have a shape that works with your face, set with a hairspray to tame flyaways and you're done. This style says modern and stylish without feeling too fussy. A ponytail with a side part is also a great option but be careful. You don't want it too tight while too loose says unkept. So make sure to pull your hair back just right for that perfectly professional look. Create a side part. Then pull your hair back in a somewhat loose ponytail. Use a hair band and take a small piece of your ponytail and wrap it around the band to cover it, then just secure it with a bobby pin. Also, apply some hair serum for a nice natural shine to your hair. Use hairspray to tame any flyaways. The look is clean, neat and professional and best of all, low maintenance. Remember, a professional look is key and nothing says disorganized more than unkept locks. Your goal should be to convey your confidence, neatness and attention to detail by communicating through your appearance. The right hairstyle will give you the confidence to help sell your capabilities in the interview process. Thanks for joining us and good luck.
