So join me as we look at a few makeup essentials for a first date on this episode of typeF Survival Guide. TypeF.com is here to help you look and feel your best in some not-so-familiar situations. In the typeF Survival Guide series we look at different scenarios that you may encounter. And provide you with solutions to face these challenging fashion and beauty situations. Hi I'm fashion stylist and typeF expert Lilliana Vazquez. Then night you've been waiting for is finally here. You are excited about tonight and you want to make a statement with your makeup. You want a look with delicate color to enhance your natural beauty, to accentuate your best features and help you be your sexy best. Here's what you'll need. A light shade of eyeliner, a neutral eyeshadow, waterproof mascara, concealer, rosy or peach blush, and a nude or light pink lip gloss. Start with a light concealer that matches your skin tone and apply it to any red or discolored areas on your face. Use a sponge to apply a light layer of foundation. Blend thoroughly into the face and forehead. Even add a light dusting of finishing powder to set your foundation. Next take a brush and apply a hint of rose or peach blush to the apples of your cheek. Blend completely. For a natural look on your eyes, use neutral colors to shape them. Use a small amount of the darker neutral shades of eyeshadow on the outside edge of the eye to accentuate your eye shape. Then use a lighter neutral shade to highlight the shape of your inner eye. To finish blend thoroughly with a brush to keep your eyes looking natural and elegant. Whether almond, oval, or rounded you want to maximize your eye shape and enhance your look. Remember nothing is flirtier then long full lashes that make your eyes pop. So you will want to use an eyeliner and a nice dark layer of waterproof mascara to create long thick, luxurious lashes to contrast the whites of your eyes. The last thing to consider is how to create great looking lips that are kissable, natural, and irresistible to look at. Using a color that matches your lips add a nice even layer of shiny tinted lip gloss that will balance out and finish your glamorous look. Remember the goal is to keep your look light so that your inner beauty shines through. You want your date to see you not your makeup.
