Hi I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today we're on Fifth Avenue. Ranked as one of the most expensive shopping streets in the entire world, Fifth Avenue is home to swanky designer boutiques and high end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue. If you're shopping on Fifth Avenue it's quite clear you take fashion very seriously. This woman impressed her with her vintage inspired look and standout accessories. We stopped her on the street to learn more about her eclectic look. What's your name? Jessi Artigue. And where do you live? I live in Kansas City, Missouri. Wow, okay and describe your personal style. My personal style is definitely vintage influenced. I wear a lot of vintage clothing and I like to mix it with a lot of the current styles so I would say it's definitely kind of more of an eclectic mixture of new and old. Perfect, now walk us through your outfit today where did you get everything from? Let's see my dress is vintage. It's from a little vintage shop in Kansas City. My belt is vintage as well. My booties are Steve Madden from a couple of years ago but I added the little tassel to the back to kind of give it like a little more updated feel. My bag is from J. Crew, my bracelets are H & M and Cora. Oh wow. Yeah. What about your necklace? My necklace is J. Crew, yeah, rings are vintage. Perfect, now what's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? A main trick that I do all the time is belting dresses. I feel like it gives me a little bit more of a you know, girlish look. I'm small around the top and so like I'll wear things that kind of blouse out a little bit to make it look like, you know, a little more feminine I guess. Definitely. Yeah. Well you've got great style. What's the one go to item in your closet? I'm a big statement jacket person. Like I love statement blazers, again most of mine are vintage just because I love wearing things that no one else really wears or has and so like if I need a go to look I'll throw on a pair of like skinny jeans or slouchy boyfriend jeans, a simple tank and just like a crazy printed blazer that kind of has, you know, some sort of visual interest to it and then just some simple accessories. What's one item you're obsessed with for Fall? I am obsessed with the really really wide legged palato pants with the high waist, whether it's in a pattern or a solid color, solid colors specifically loving jeweled tones right now but I would say the palato pants is my must have. Okay sounds great. And describe your style in three words. Vintage, quirky and I love to dress with a sense of humor. Well you look amazing. Thank you so much. Thanks, thank you. Thanks for joining me on this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Don't forget to check back for more seasons and more cities on Typef.com.
