Hi, I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today we're in the East Village also known as the birth place of punk rock so it's no surprise this edgy area has a distinct rock and roll vibe. Needless to say the East Village attracts plenty of creative young people and cool NYU students with hip downtown style. This woman exuded elegance and charm in the East Village. We had to stop her and learn more about her cool look. What's your name? Sara. And where do you live? I live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. And how would you describe your style? Eclectic. Okay, and walk me through your outfit today, where did you get everything from? I got this while in Paris. I got these at Shoegasm in Chelsea which I love, lots of vegan shoes. I'm a vegan so lots of canvas heels and stuff like that. Perfect, and what about your bag? My bag, urban. Nice. What are your favorite stores in the area? I like thrift stores and consignment shops. You find a lot of you know, interesting unique things there that you're not going to see everywhere, so. Perfect, what's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? Ooh, cinched waists, heels, lots of heels. What's your favorite item in your closet? Probably a vintage Versache bag that I got at a consignment shop for $150 like eight years ago and still my favorite thing, so. So you're kind of a bargain shopper? Yes, absolutely. What are you obsessed with for Fall? Woo, tough boots. I mean always boots, short ankle boots, thick heels so it's easy to walk around in the city, you don't have to do the change out that's so embarrassing, so. Definitely. Yeah. Do you have a secret style tip you can share with us? Natural, you know, the easier the better, just be yourself, be yourself. Okay, and how would you describe your style in three words? Eclectic, cruelty free, fun. You look amazing. Thank you. Thanks so much for joining me with this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Be sure to check back for more seasons and more cities on Typef.com.
