Hi, I'm Jennifer Chan for TypeF.com, and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street: New York. Today, we're at Lincoln Center, right in the mix of New York Fashion Week, where industry insiders gather not only to preview next season's hottest trends, but also to show off their impeccable style, and flawless fashion expertise. This woman's pretty berry colored maxi dress was elegant and sexy at the same time. We had to stop her and find out more. What's your name? Megan O'Brien. And, where do you live? Los Angeles, California. And, tell me about your personal style. Actually, this is a bit Boho for me. I don't usually do flowy, but because I was traveling, this is Rubber Duckie, this dress, and it doesn't wrinkle. So, it wears well, so I can, like, run around the city and not look like a disheveled mess. That's a smart tip! Now, tell me how you flatter your figure. Okay, here's my problem area. I'm like a spider. Like, I've got, like, spindly limbs, but I have a round stomach. Like, really. So, when I'm getting dressed, I like to look for ruching kind of in the center to hide that. Or, also it's kind of like I work what I've got. So, I'll like, you know, do a little boob or do a little leg, but you're never going to find me in a half shirt. Like, that's never going to happen. Amazing! Now, tell me about your accessories. I love your bag and your shoes. Where are those from? Okay, this is my tip too: If you spend money on your bag, then you can, like, cheap out other areas. So, this is a Chanel. This probably, this was more - this cost more than my first car. But, it's okay, because if you carry the very expensive bag, you can get away with, like, having they cheapy earrings, because people are going to go, "Wait, she dropped that on the bag. There's no way those diamonds aren't real." Right. You know? So, I think that's it. Spend a lot of money on one classic accessory. Chanel is never going out of style, you know? Yep. So, I think that's a good tip. So, you're all about mixing high and low. Yes. Okay. Now, tell me what you're obsessed with for fall. What are you looking to buy? Cashmere. Oh! Any particular brands or style? I just want big and warm and comfortable. So, I like the cashmere with the leggings. Okay, now tell me what's your favorite go-to item in your closet. It's going to be the LBD, everybody's Little Black Dress. I mean, I have several of them, but I think, you know, dress it up, dress it down, every girl should have the perfect fit - another thing you should spend a lot of money on. Spend a lot of money on your purse, and spend a lot of money on one classic tailored, fits you perfect, snug as a rug, great flattering black dress, and you're good. What's your style challenge, and how do you overcome it? My style challenge? Money. Money? Yes. Okay. Yes, yes. That would be the challenge. Totally understand. Now, describe your style in three words. I'd say classic, a little urban, and just expensive. Perfect! Thanks so much for joining me. Thanks so much for joining me with this edition of Style on the Street: New York. Don't forget to check back for more seasons and more cities on TypeF.com.
