Hi, I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today we're at Lincoln Center right in the mix of New York Fashion Week where industry insiders gather not only to preview next season's hottest trends but also to show off their impeccable style and flawless fashion expertise. This woman coordinated her adorable ballet flats to her punchy purple handbag. With accessories like these we knew this fashion plate had some style tricks to share. What's your name? Christina. And where do you live? On the upper East Side. And describe your personal style. Well it's kind of a mix between some funky pieces and some classic pieces. So I really spend more time and money looking into some investment pieces like blazers and really good fitting jeans and then I try and compliment them with some more inexpensive shirts and other garments that kind of like compliment that. Walk us through your outfit. Where did you get everything from? So this is actually a Piazza Sempione jacket and then this is an Aritzia dress. It's one of their classic dresses that don't wrinkle so I like that about it. This is a J. Crew belt and then these are Bloch shoes and a Marc Jacob's handbag. And what about your jewelry? This is David Yurman and then it's just my watch with a Chandler bracelet. And what's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? I really think it's important to kind of hide your, the least flattering aspect of your body so for me it's really the mid section, so versus like waring tight fitting T shirts I think it's important to wear more of a loose fitting blouse with some fitted jeans to kind of balance the way my figure is shaped. Do you have a secret style tip? I would really say it's about finding really good fitting jeans versus just trying to go for whatever brand is in season. So that's really what I try to focus on. Now in your closet what's your favorite go to fashion item? It would probably be cardigans and blazers. Okay and describe your style in three words. Simple, no white, and flats. Perfect, thank you so much. Thank you. Thanks so much for joining me for this edition of Style on the Street, New York. For more fashion and beauty looks just for you, go to Typef.com.
