Hi. I'm Jennifer Chan for TypeF.com, and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street: New York. Today we're in the East Village, also known as the birthplace of punk rock. So it's no surprise this edgy area has a distinct rock and roll vibe. Needless to say, the East Village attracts plenty of creative young people and cool NYU students with hip, downtown style. We love a woman who can mix things up. This woman's funky style stopped us in our tracks. What's your name? Elizabeth Peppy. And where do you live? I live out in Bushwick - the hood. And how do you describe your personal style? I'd say it's pretty vintage-inspired. I kind of like looking, you know, online, seeing what's going on, and trying out new trends, so... vintage/eclectic. You look very, like, eclectic and mixed and matched today. Tell me where you got everything from. This is a couple of years old. I think it's from Urban Outfitters, and this is from Pinky Auto, it's a little boutique a couple of blocks over that way. Perfect. And what about your shoes? Shoes... I have no idea. They're from... they were my little sister's. Now what are your favorite stores in the area? Favorite stores are probably In God We Trust - I love that store. I also love Catbird. It's where I got these rings. They're really great, both of them. They both kind of feature a lot of local artists, especially Catbird - a lot of Brooklyn jewelry artists and they're really really great. Really nice stuff that you can have for a long time. Now do you have a favorite item in your closet? My favorite item in my closet is probably my pair of mini marketwood wedges. They're like ten miles high. I'm unfortunately not wearing heels right now. I'm doing tons of errands today. Totally understandable. Now what are you obsessed with for fall? You know what? Probably those felt, long, high-waisted long skirts in the different mustard and green colors. I was just at a military thrift shop the other day with my friend and I saw this amazing one. Sixty bucks. I didn't snatch it up, but somebody should. It's really great. I love that. And describe your style in three words. Vintage. Eclectic. And sometimes hurried. Maybe that's supposed to be more than three. Thank you so much. Thanks so much for joining me with this edition of Style in the Street: New York. Be sure to check back for more seasons and more cities on TypeF.com.
