Hi, I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com, and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today, we're in Soho, home to world class restaurants, galleries and arguably the best shopping in the city. From mainstream stores to popular clothing boutiques to handmade jewelry stands along the sidewalk there is no shortage of retail therapy at every corner. This woman grabbed our attention with her sweet floral cardigan and fancy jewelry. We had to stop her on the street and learn more about her look. What's your name? My name's Alexis. And where do you live? I live in the Bronx. And tell me about your personal style. My personal style, I feel like it's a combination of like a pinup look/like Barbie look and that's why I do like the little pinup look for the eyes and try to do the hair but that's pretty much about it. We love how girly your look is. It's kind of amazing. Now walk me through your whole outfit, head to toe. Where did you get everything from? Well, to be honest these boots I got them from a friend and this I got in a store called Dr. Jay's in the Bronx and I got this cardigan from Rainbows in the Bronx and it's really not all that much. I got everything really on sale. Okay, nice. Yeah, and the accessories, I got in the Heights and only like $1. I didn't spend that much on the bracelets. They were only $1 and the ring too and this was $20 though. You did a little splurge? Yeah, yeah, a little, just a little, not too much. And the bag is actually Betsy Johnson. Okay, yeah, that's about it though. And what about that incredible pink headband? Oh the pink headband like I got it from Forever 21. I love Forever 21. I even got the pearls there too. Nice. Yeah, I think it's a good store for like girls, it has really girly stuff like that so I go there all the time. Now do you have a favorite fashion item in your closet like your go to? Really it's these boots right now. I think the boots or like shorts and dresses are so cute to me, or skirts, so, yeah. What's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? This is so funny but I like dresses that like try to fit kind of tight, not too tight but like try to fit nice and just show my curves off. Right, show off that girlish frame. Yeah. That's really about it though. I'm really onto dresses so, yeah. Do you have a style challenge and how do you overcome it? I think, I don't even know, I think the only style challenge I have is trying to do my makeup in less than hour, that's the only challenge I have. I'll be timing myself to see how long it's going to take me, that's the only challenge I have. Okay, you're working on efficiency. Yes, yes, I'd be getting late all the time just doing this and it's only simple, just eyeliner, lipstick and a blush. Well you look amazing. Can you describe your style in three words? Bright, girly and pinup. Thank you so much. Thanks. Thanks for joining me with this edition with Style on the Street, New York.
