Hi, I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today, we're on Fifth Avenue. Ranked as one of the most expensive shopping streets in the entire world, Fifth Avenue is home to swanky designer boutiques and high end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue. If you're shopping on Fifth Avenue, it's quite clear you take fashion very seriously. This fashionable woman paired a designer handbag with a down to Earth denim dress. We knew we had to stop her and learn more of her fashion tips. What's your name? Michelle. And where do you live? I live downtown in East Village. And describe your personal style. I'm a little eccentric, a lot of vintage mixed with luxury brands. Great, now walk me through your outfit. Where did you get everything from? My dress is vintage from a store in L.A. My scarf is from H&M and the all accessories are from YSL, Yves Saint Laurent. Oh wow. So you're quite the shopper. Yes. Do you have any favorite shops in the area? Well Yves Saint Laurent, I work there. And then Blanks Jagasia McCartney and I love Vintage. Perfect, what's one item you're obsessed with this Fall? At YSL there's this bag called a cabachic and so I'm not, this is the EZ but with a new bag that is really the icon bag of the season and it comes in a range of colors, magenta and dark teal and so I'm kind of obsessed with that bag. But it's kind of sold out, everybody has a wait list so I'm waiting for that bag. Okay, so what's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? I think something with a cinched waist, like this dress is elastic waistband or otherwise if you have a looser top you might want to belt it. So, yeah, the waist. Perfect, and in your closet do you have one go to favorite fashion item? One go to piece, maybe a tuxedo jacket, I think that's an easy piece to wear, to dress up an outfit with jeans or you can you know, really wear it for evening, as an alternative to a gown. Great, thanks for all the great tips. Can you describe your style in three words? Fun, eccentric and individualistic. Wonderful, it was so great meeting you. Thank you. Thanks for joining me on this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Don't forget to check back for more seasons and more cities on Typef.com.
