Hi I'm Jennifer Chan for Typef.com and welcome to this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Today we're in Brooklyn, a neighboring borough to Manhattan and a hot up and coming area, bursting with diversity. Bright colors stood out in Brooklyn and this woman carried them well. We stopped her to learn more about her style. What's your name? Leo Fallen. And where do you live? I live right down here on Bedford in Metropolitan. Okay, and describe your personal style. I take a lot from vintage stuff and I just look to film for inspiration and you know, fashion magazines and blogs. Amazing, okay what are your favorite stores here in Brooklyn? Well definitely one of my top three, Americord, right down this street. It's a cool vintage shop and they also have a location in Soho. They always have really great stuff at decent prices too. Nice. Yeah. Okay walk me through your colorful outfit, where did you get everything from? Okay, yes, this i actually got at one of my other favorite spots, Buffalo Exchange and this skirt I believe came from a boutique in Soho. I can't remember what it's called, my bad and these shoes I just bought on the sidewalk somewhere. Oh nice. So do you often color coordinate your ensemble like...yeah, depending on mood, whether I just want to make a weird exposition or just go all matchy matchy like I am today. Perfect, okay what's your favorite trick for flattering your figure? Well I'm really into the high waisted stuff right now, just because it really elongates the leg especially when you throw on a killer platform heel or something, no matter what it is. Nice, do you have a secret style trick you can share with us? Yes, always look in, don't underestimate the power of the belt around the high waisted thing and just don't be afraid to look for clothes in different sizes and just play with proportions and stuff like that. Perfect, what are you obsessed with for Fall? I'm obsessed with temporary tattoos as I donned one right now and also fringe, really into the fringe and also bralessness, actually I've been rocking that a lot lately, yeah. Very bold of you. Yeah, what's your favorite go to item in your closet? They would have to be a recent acquisition actually, my Sentinel platform wedges. They are just insane, they make an outfit no matter what you're really wearing. They have crazy zebra stripes, just a lot of fun. And how would you describe your style in three words? Vintage, let's say, Boho, fun. Well you look incredible. Thank you so much. Thanks so much for joining me with this edition of Style on the Street, New York. Be sure to check back for more seasons and more cities on Typef.com.
