- Hi, I'm Stevi Christine, professional makeup artist and I'm going to show you how to wear gold lipstick. One thing to note is that gold lipstick is not for all skin tones and if you do want to wear a gold lipstick make sure you choose the right tone. For Chelsea here, she has a beautiful gorgeous skin tone that we can actually use pretty much any gold lipstick on her. Today on Chelsea I'm going to be using L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Color in Golden Splendor. Gonna start by lining Chelsea's lips with a brownish similar to her lip color. Bring it in ever so slightly. This helps keep the lipstick in place but it also helps give a little definition to the lip area. After you're done then you go ahead and take the gold lipstick. I like using a lip brush because it gives me a little bit of control over the placement of the product. So what you want to do is you want to start in the middle and then work out and this color looks gorgeous on Chelsea. This color's great for the holidays. It's very festive but it's also one of my favorite colors on the red carpet. Just stands out so nicely, especially when the flash hits it. It's beautiful lip color without being too overpowering. And focus more of the color kind of in the center and just lightly brush out. You don't want too much gold out here. It's just too overwhelming. Take a little bit more and really focus right in the center of her lips. To finish this look, you can add a little gloss. Adds a nice little sheen and it adds to the reflection of that gold. If you really want to complete this look, take a little bronze kind of color. Just swipe, one swipe, all over the eye. And there you have it. That's how you wear gold lipstick. I'm Stevi Christine.
