- Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to wear bright lipstick. If you are going to choose a bold lip color make it the star. All of the rest of your makeup will then be the supporting cast. I'm going to begin the look with Rouge Love Violet Coquette by Lancome. This bold grape purple color is so fresh and unique. And it's bold but that is what I love about it. Another interesting thing about this if you think about it look at already how white her teeth are looking. The color of this choice really makes her teeth look brighter. You can see how this gape color is a perfect complement to Jasmine's dark features. If somebody with more fair skin was to wear this, it might be very overpowering. But it's absolutely a stunning a look on Jasmine because her features ground it. It's a perfect complement. The beautiful shine that you see on Jasmine's lip color too is because of the crushed mother of pearl. This enables it to look more like a cream, but wear like a matte. And matte is such an important thing to really remember in a bold lip color. You don't want that color to be coming off. You don't want it to transfer onto your teeth. So you can see that I've stilled created balance with Jasmine's makeup application even by using a bold lip. And I've done that because I have not played up any other feature. It's just concentrated on the lip and it's a perfect balance and complement. And that's how to wear bright lipstick. I'm Kendra Richards, thanks for watching.
