- Hi, I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to wear blue eye makeup. So, the thought of using blue eyeshadow can be slightly intimidating. Used in the correct way, it can really add something to your look. So, today on Emily, I'm going to be using the L'Oreal High Intensity Pigment Shadow Duos. So, either of these blue colors work fantastically on Emily. I'm going to use the lightly darker one to create a really nice midnight blue. I'm going to use again, a flat eyeliner eyeshadow brush. I have already lined her eyelids with black eyeliner and I'm just going to go over it again with the blue shadow. But this time instead of dragging, I'm going to press the eyeshadow into the liner, just to create that lovely blue line. Because I'm using a pressed shadow, if you drag, the excess shadow is going to fall underneath your eyes and you're going to get really bad Panda eyes. So, by pressing it, it minimizes the amount of excess that you have on it. And it also helps to set the shadow into the liner firmer. You don't have to be too exact. Look straight for a bit. So, you can see that it's a very subtle shade of blue. But it adds something to, like an evening look. So, as you can see, I've added it to Emily's right eye. It's already brightening up and making her eye color really pop. And with Emily I did a dark black under eyeliner. And then we went over the top of it with a brighter blue. Just when using blue eyeshadow, use it very sparingly because it can go wrong. So, that's how you add bluer eye makeup. I'm Tara Shakespeare, thanks for watching.
