- Hi I'm Kendra Richards professional makeup artist. Today I'd like to show you how to do makeup for blue eyes. As you can see Catherine already has eyeshadow colors in a beautiful coppery color that really complement her blue eyes. I'm going to take it up a notch from here by using black eyeliner to get an even more intense eye look. So for the eyeliner I'm going to use Le Crayon Khol in Black Ebony by Lancome. So what I like to do is work in feather strokes not one long stroke that I lay the color down. Going over it and over it. You don't even have to be precise in the way that you are applying this because you are going to smudge it out with a brush. That in a way is a great introduction for anybody who hasn't used eyeliner and you've always wanted to and you were a little afraid. You don't have to worry because you can just put that color down like I'm showing right here. Smudge it out and it's a soft beautiful defining eyeliner look. An easy way to get a light bit of liner under the eye instead of drawing a line under the eye, you dab in the way I just showed you and then you blend this out. That way you don't have a harsh line but you have a blended smudge under eye. And then one of my favorite secrets I'll show you here in a moment. Go ahead and look up. Is lining the upper inside and the lower inside of the lid. Go ahead and look down now close. You lift the lid and you just wiggle the pencil back and forth gently under the eye. This adds an extra definition and that black inside the eye really helps the blue in her eye color pop. So I just gently hold down her bottom lid so that I can apply this on the inside. Perfect. It's a very dramatic very powerful statement. You can see the difference between the before eye and the after eye. There you go I've finished Catherine's eyes. This really intensified the blue in her eyes. This is a great go to to boost the color in your eye and have a great dramatic eye makeup effect. So there you go. That's how to do makeup for blue eyes. I'm Kendra Richards thanks for watching.
