Hi, I'm Carla Kay, celebrity manicurist. Today, I'm going to talk to you about UV-cured nail polish versus regular polish. So, doing UV nail polish is great, because it dries immediately once you come out of the light after your drying time. It stays long - two to three weeks. But, to get this effect at home, grab a Good to Go Rapid Quicky Dry by Essie. You just need a light, thin coat. It's going to give you that extra shine effect. And then, under five minutes, you'll be able to grab your bag and go. So, when applying your color coat, you want to start with the base coat. Allow one minute to dry before you apply the first color coat, and the same thing - wait a minute before you apply the second color coat. This is going to give a nice, even, smooth finish. And, the most important thing is finishing off with a quick-dry top coat. This is going to add high shine, and seal the nails for chipping. Since you can't do UV-cured nail polish at home, the next best thing is to apply your layers, wait a few minutes in between, and always use a quick-dry top coat to finish off. And, there you go. There's some information about UV-cured nail polish versus regular polish. I'm Carla Kay, thanks for watching.
