- Hi I'm Louis Santalices, celebrity hairstylist and today I'm going to show you how to use hair rollers effectively. So as a professional anytime that I want to achieve volume or some glamor, I want to use a hot roller. It's going to give us a lot of drama and lift. To finish our look we're going to use Mega Spritz by L'Oreal. So to begin you want to analyze the hair. A lot of times when we section hair and we're applying rollers we tend to take too small of a section or too large of a section. So you want to analyze the section that you're taking and making sure it's appropriate to the roller size. So we have a smaller section there where the bang is and then we have this other section so I'm going to just wrap that around and as I'm rolling I'm just going to tuck the rest of that hair underneath just like so. And then I'm going to reinforce it with a roller clip and if you need to put, I kind of like to put a couple in there just to make sure that that's not going to go anywhere, just like that. I'm going to continue working from the top all the way back lifting the hair directly up. I like to over direct the hair forward so when I roll it it's going to be right exactly where you want it to sit. So over direct the hair forward making sure that we tuck in those ends. It's really important. And just rolling it back onto the base. You just want to finish it with a clip. Now I'm just going to continue working all the way back. Okay and as you can see we're finished applying all the hot rollers and these are going to stay in for 10, 15 minutes depending on how long they take to cool. Okay the hot rollers have cooled, now it's time to take them out. I like to take them out in the order that I put them in just because those are the tones that have cooled down the quickest. And as you can see we're really getting a lot of body, a lot of curl and as you can see there's lots of volume, lots of lift to smooth curl, nice and loose, not too tight. Okay now you can see how voluminous her hair looks. What I want to do now that I've taken all the rollers out, I just want to give it a nice little spritz with this finishing spray. And this is just really going to help to hold the hair throughout the day. And that's how to use hot rollers effectively. I'm Louis Santalices and thank you for watching.
