Hi, I'm beauty expert Tracy O'Connor, and today I'm going to show you how to use eye cream. Because our eyes are our most expressive feature on our face, I think a lot of us want to make sure that our eye area looks healthy and refreshed. So, I think one of the ways to do that is by using an eye cream and using it properly. A lot of us might have a little bit of dark circles under the eyes. As we get older, into our 20s and 30s, we'll notice some fine lines developing around our orbital bone, often called crow's feet. So, the best way to address these issues as we get older is to use a fantastic eye cream with great ingredients. So, to demonstrate how to properly use an eye cream, I'm going to use the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado Oil by Kiehl's. So, the eye area is a very delicate area of the face. The skin tends to be thinner around our eyes, so you want to be very gentle when you're applying an eye cream. So, I recommend dabbing just a little bit of product on your ring finger and then going in to apply around the eye area. Ok, now you want to use your orbital bone as a guide. Close your eyes. Your orbital bone extends from your cheekbone and around the eye. And so, what you want to do is just start by dabbing the eye cream right there along the orbital bone. You want to work the eye cream, as well, up here. And also a great tip, across the bridge of the nose. And the skin here across the bridge is also very fine and thin, so it's a great area to also place the eye cream. Ok, now when applying the eye cream, you just want to go ahead and just gently tap the eye cream in. Gently tap and work the product in. You can use your pinkie finger or your ring finger, but definitely don't pull or tug. Ok, now when you're working the product in with these gentle tapping motions, you want to make sure to stay right on the orbital bone. Ok, so you want to stay right here. You can feel your orbital bone just by gently applying pressure. You don't want to apply too high, because you certainly don't want the eye cream to migrate into the eye area. Now, this particular product is fantastic because it has a formulation that won't migrate. Other eye creams can have a tendency to migrate into the mucus membrane and can cause irritation. So, we definitely don't want that. You want to wake up in the morning with fresher eyes, not red eyes. I love avocado oil as an ingredient. It cushions the eye area. It's an incredible hydrator. It also stimulates collagen and elastin, which is going to help reduce the fine lines and wrinkles that are around the eyes. Additionally, it has amino acids, and amino acids are going to help to reduce the darkness that's beneath the eye. Those proteins really help to build the support structure of the skin, and will leave your eyes looking younger and fresher, and the skin in that area healthier. Better texture, smoother. I recommend using eye cream once you get into your mid to late 20s. I think that's a perfect age to start using an eye cream and incorporating it into your regimen. And there you go. That's how to use eye cream. I'm Tracy O'Connor. Thanks for watching.
