- Celebrity hairstylist, David Dang, showing you how you can use a diffuser for curly hair. The mousse I'll be using is a L'Oreal Paris EverStyle Curl Activating Mousse. There are many ways to use a diffuser so I'm going to show you the correct way to use it. As we have here for Bianca, I did one side already curled and ready to go defined and for this side I wet it down. I'm going to achieve that same look with the diffuser. So what you're going to need first is our mousse. Remember less is more so you're just going to use a little bit. And in using that amount, go ahead and spread it around like butter and put in your hair from mids to ends. Just mask it a little bit, nothing on the roots again, perfect, saturated in there, excellent and from here we'll go ahead and use our diffuser. Now in order to use this diffuser you want to point up against gravity because you want the fullness of those beautiful curls and in order to do that once again is using a diffuser upwards. Lightly use it upwards. You can move it around and also you can use it in the roots, don't concentrate on one area too long, move it all around, giving all the correct amount of heat everywhere you need. Distribute that heat throughout the hair. I'm going to stop for a second just to show you how it's already forming. This is not even half dry and it's already nice and forming her curls and soon it will be this nice defined curl. Wow, that's amazing, look at her curls are defined, beautiful, relaxed, in position. This is her natural wave and look it's all around. It's just nice and that is exactly what I'm talking about. When you use less product you get better results and a better curlage, better mileage on the hair you can see and it just doesn't have that neon 90s grunge or 80s grunge that you can have. Nice and soft and bouncy and that's exactly what Bianca is looking for. She's not looking to go out, get on a date and be made fun of with her hair. She's being attractive by her hair. This mane is beautiful. And that's how you get curly hair with a diffuser. This is David Dang, celebrity hairstylist. I'll catch you next time.
