- Hi I'm Jessica Liparoto, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to give you a tutorial on how to braid bangs across the head. This is a really great look when you're trying to grow out your bangs, or if you want to have the illusion of having a really thick bang. The tools we're going to use are a comb, a brush, a few bobby pins and and some hairspray. The spray we're going to use is the L'Oreal Paris EverStyle Strong Hold Styling Spray. So on Ingrid we started with a deep side part creating the illusion of having a heavier bang. So we're going to go ahead and just give the hair a good brush out. The most important part of braiding is using clean sections. So I'm just going to braid a small section here, depending on your preference you can have a large braid, a small braid but I'm just going to braid the front section. So after we have parted and sectioned off the hair, we're going to grab some spray, run it through, roots to ends and then we'll begin our braid. Okay, now I'm going to start off in the back most corner of her head and I'm going to take a small section in a triangle form. We're going to give it a quick comb through and then you're going to divide it into three equal parts, one, two and three. So we're going to go from right to center, left into center. Now you're going to grab the outermost layer and you're going to take from the sides and remember to use clean sections. You're going to pull into the center. Now you're going to grab from the outermost corner which is right in here and then clean up your section. So I like to keep one finger here, my thumb and my index finger to keep the braid very tight while we're taking our sections. So now we're just going to keep repeating, left over center, right over center until we get to the top of the ear and then I'm going to show you how to secure it. So now that we're approaching the top of the ear, we're just going to finish braiding it up like a regular braid and I always like to hide it back here. So then we're just going to secure it with a bobby pin. So now we're just going to bring the hair forward. She's got such pretty red hair. So, braids are always good for people that have dimensional hair, blonds with a lot of lowlights. It just brings out the color, give it one more good brush all the way through and there you go. That's how you braid bangs across the forehead. I'm Jessica Liparoto. Thank you for watching.
