Hi, I'm Carla Kay, Celebrity Manicurist. Today, I'm going to show you how to do swirly nail designs with nail polish. And the pattern I'm going to show you how to do today is going to be a fun swirly marbling look. The tools you're going to need today is a bowl with room temperature water, some scotch tape, a couple of toothpicks, a cotton swab and two colors of your choice. I'm going to use Blank and Glamour Purse by Essie. So, the first step we're going to do is applying our white nail polish as our base coat, which actually white works really good for the swirly design that we're going to do today. So, when applying the white nail polish, you want to make sure you give it a few minutes, give it about a minute and then apply the second coat and all the streaking will go away and you'll have a smooth finish. And another tip is, you want to make sure the polish dries both coats for at least five minutes before we're going to start dipping the nails into the bowl to make the swirly design effect. Okay, so, now that I finished the stuff of taping off the nail and they're dry, I'm going to take the Glamour Purse color and I'm just going to drop one and it kind of fans out, "Let's just set this down here", now, I'm going to take a drop of white, drop it in there. And you can, you can keep dropping as many drops as you like, I'm just going to do a couple here. You kind of have to drop it a little quickly because this process, the polish will dry pretty quick. Then, I'm going to take my toothpick and kind of just move it around. You can play with it and make all kinds of different designs. Okay. Now, once I have my design like that, we're going to grab our hand and then, I'm just going to pull this back here and I'm just going to dunk it in and stay just like that for me. Then, I'm going to take the toothpick and just pull up the polish surrounding her nail. It, it dries really fast, so it's easier to kind of clean up. And then, we're going to pull it out and there's our marble effect. And the great part about this is the tape can come off immediately. And there you go, this is so easy to do at home that actually people would think you had it done in the salon. And that's how to do swirly nail designs with nail polish. I'm Carla Kay, thanks for watching.
