- Hi I'm Jessica Liparoto, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to straighten short curly hair. When dealing with curly hair, there's several different types. Anna has a mild curl so we're just going to use a flatiron on her. But if you have really tight spirally curls, it's best to use a blow dryer and a round brush to get out the majority of your curl. So for our look we're going to use a comb, sectioning clips, flatiron and serum. The serum we're going to be using today is the L'Oreal Paris EverSleek Frizz Taming Cream Serum. So we're going to take the serum. We're going to use about a dime size. This can go in wet or dry hair. We're just going to go from roots to ends all the way through. Now the most important part in flatironing curly hair is sectioning. You're going to split up the front just behind the ear and you can clip those. You're going to section out a little piece, give it a comb through, grab your flatiron, two seconds per swipe, all the way down and you're just going to keep repeating this step all the way through the hair. So now that we've straightened all the hair we're going to go in and finish out the look by straightening her bang and I'm going to just give this a little bump under so it frames her face. There you go, that's how you straighten short curly hair. I'm Jessica Liparoto. Thank you for watching.
