Hi I'm Caile Noble, celebrity hairstylist and today I'm going to show you how to straighten your hair with a flatiron. So to get started what you're going to want to do is grab a brush and just brush out the hair freeing it from any tangles it may have. Once you do that, you're going to go ahead and get your product. We're using a Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Milk, emulsify it through completely and you don't need to overdo it as you can see, you can just see it's lightly on my palms and just grabbing from the mids down through the ends, combing it through with your fingers. This is going to act as a barrier against the heat and also give it an added shine. Once you work the product through the mids to the ends and you have just a little left over slightly on your hands, you can kind of go through and pat down the hairline and comb it through a little bit there as well. I've sectioned this half the head into two just so we can work a little cleaner and quickly. Once you've gotten one section I like to take a thin horizontal section, clipping the hair away and then if you want you can even use a comb to comb through the hair to make sure it's free of tangles again and then with your iron, going in at the base of the hair, not going straight down but actually out from the head and coming through the ends of the hair. And that is how you straighten your hair with a flatiron. We are going to continue through the head finishing off flatironing the hair. It can get a little tricky up here in the front where the bangs are, so I'm going to also show you how to take a vertical section there so that you can get a little bit cleaner at the hairline. Pull it out from around the head and then go in there making sure you get as close to the scalp as possible and as you can see, it gets right in there to the round of the head. A little tip to remember is when coming out from the round of the head, is to twist your wrist back a little bit. This often gives the hair a little bevel so that it doesn't look too stick straight or lifeless. So now that you've seen the first section we're going to go ahead and complete the rest of the hair and we'll see you shortly. So at the end of the process you can use a little bit more product, nothing more than a pea size, emulsify it into your hands, pat down any flyaways and pull it through the ends just to give it a little added shine. And that's how you straighten hair with a flatiron. I'm Caile Noble. Thank you for watching.
