- Hi I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to do sparkly eyes for New Year's Eve. So to really finish off your new years eve outfit, sparkly eyes and a sparkly eye shadow is a great way to complete your look. You can use a whole number of tones, but I prefer to use metallic tones so gold, coppers, silvers, and today on Aleena I'm going to use a silver metallic eye shadow. So to achieve this look on Aleena, today I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets professional metallic eye shadow duo in platinum. So I'm going to use both these metallic colors on Aleena. I'm going to take the lighter silver one and take it all over her eye as in a smoky eye effect and then just darken her sockets with a glittery black. So I'm going to use a flat eye shadow brush. I've got a lot of eye shadow on both sides of the brush and then just take it all the way across. It's such a beautiful silver color there so it really makes her eyes pop. It will really give a great finish to any outfit. So because it's quite an intense color, you want to start in the middle of the eye and just work the color out to the edges to the socket. You don't want to go in and just sweep it on because it's quite a bold color. So you want to focus on any intensity on the lid and just soften the edges. So seeing as it's for new year's eve look, I'm taking the silver on the inside and just underneath her eye lid as well. Just under here, just to open up the eyes for a really dramatic look. So then all I'm going to do is take the darker shadow and just work it into the corner here. Just to give a bit of depth to the outer corner. And again with a clean brush, just blending this in. But adding the black just really amps the look up just a little. We've taken the silver eye shadow and applied it all over Aleena's eye lids, and then we've darkened the sockets with a really nice black glittery eye shadow and just taken a little but underneath. Then I've finished the look off with a really light, fresh pink cheeks and just a touch of gloss. So there you have it. Sparkly eyes for new year's eve. I'm Tara Shakespeare, thanks for watching.
