Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to get soft lips. It's really important to keep your lips in good condition throughout your life. As we get older, our lips tend to dry out and crack more easily and so using a good lip balm is a way to prevent that and just really keep the skin healthy on your lips because it is the thinnest skin on the face besides the skin under the eyes. And you also want to use a lip balm that has a good SPF. So today on Marie, I'm going to be using Maybelline baby lips with an SPF of 20. This lip balm is really nice because it has a cooling peppermint taste to it, so it's going to be really refreshing and kind of a little wake up for your lips. So it's really easy to apply just straight out of the tube, just open your mouth a tiny bit and just start at the top of the upper lip and bring it down and around into the middle lip. Middle of the bottom lip. And then up and around to meet the top again. So that's one coat, but you can always use two if your lips are extra dry. When it's really cold outside, your lips will chap easily, so two coats is good. The summer months your lips are usually a little bit more moist, but you always have to be careful of the sun and the exposure to it, so this is a great one because of the SPF 20. So it's going to protect the lips. When you're wearing lip balm, it's going to help your lipstick go on evenly, your lip liner, it's also going to make the product last longer on your lips, but you can always just wear it alone for a beautiful soft finish. So there you have it, using a lip balm is the best way to get soft lips. Thanks for watching, I'm Hilda Levierge.
