Hi, I'm Carla Kay. Today, I'm going to show you how to apply sheer nail polish. Today, I'm going to get started by using Naked Truth by Essie. So, before starting your first coat of sheer nail polish, you always want to make sure you use a base coat, because then you'll get a sheer coverage all the way through, and it actually works as a primer to hold down the polish. Okay, so, I've applied the base coat. So, I'm going to go ahead and go in with applying a very thin sheer first coat of polish. And, you can actually get away with doing one coat of sheer to avoid streaking. You just want to make sure that you don't have a lot of polish on the brush. It'll also give you a nice, even look on the nail polish. So, you want to do a sheer nail polish to kind of get that creamy, beautiful manicured look. It's not as pigmented as a color where you might have to actually apply two coats, and it just gives it a nice, clean, fresh manicured look, and actually will dry a lot quicker by applying one coat. You always want to finish off with a top coat, because that'll actually seal down the color, and avoid chippings, and give you a longer-lasting effect of your manicure. One final great feature about sheer nail polish: If it does chip, it actually - you can't even tell. And, there you have it. That's how you apply sheer nail polish. I'm Carla Kay. Thanks for watching.
