- Celebrity hairstylist David Dang here showing you how you can sculpting mousse on curly hair. There are different ways that you can sculpt hair and especially curly hair so I'm going to show you four different ways to sculpt curly hair. Bianca herself does this at home. What she does is she after the shower, she gets out of the shower, she puts mousse from mids to ends and then she ties it up in a bun and then just goes to bed. And then in the morning she just unreleases it and then it becomes this nice sculpted look and especially with your unruly curl that she has right now and that's really really super simple. The second, what she's going to is I usually put on wet hair also, I usually just use mousse from mids to ends. I take sections of it depending on what section you want to be most concentrated. I'm just going to concentrate on the front. I usually twist tight as possible and then I take a bobby pin and then I pin it back. Only on the frontal section. Just to give that portion a nice control. Again just section, take it and then just twist it really tight and taut and just place in the back right here. And then from there, once you release the curl in the morning it's going to be this nice Kardashian wave. You know to this beachy wave because what you're doing when you do it taut like this it gives it that nice undulation when it comes back out, when you uncurl it again and as you can already tell it's starting to form that without the product in the hair. So the third way to get that defined curl is by using a diffuser and the diffuser is like those monster hands and let me show you exactly what it looks like right here. So this is your regular blow dryer and this is the diffuser that comes with it. Sometimes it usually comes with it when you buy the product, you know, the the blow dryer or sometimes it you have to buy this separately. But again this is what the diffuser looks like. Just kind of grabs up. Evenly distributes throughout the hair. So what you do is you use the mousse on each of the sections, individual sections, as many as you want and then go ahead and loosely curl and leave it down. Once again section, loosely curl with the mousse, put it down. And once you put it down it should look like this, when it has nice sections of curls with the product in there. Again less is more so don't use too much. Then you're going to take the diffuser and you put up in the hair and you just lightly pull it up like that. Nothing too close to the head because you just want to lightly distribute all the heat throughout the entire hair. And lastly what we're going to do is we're going to use it the easy way. When you have dry hair like this like Bianca has it's a little bit unruly and we want to control that frizz right away when it's on dry hair. Alright and to demo that I'm going to be using the EverStyle Curl Activating Mousse by L'Oreal Paris. Alright, and as you heard throughout this entire segment I've been using from mids to ends, mids to ends and less is more. So this is as much as I'm going to use. Once again, rub it evenly between your hands and then use it from mids to ends and as you can already tell, her hair is already starting to get control and this is on dry hair. So this product works great. It's light. It's dry and it's easy to control. And from here, if you don't, aren't satisfied with this look and you gotta go and it's still a little wet for you depending on the distribution, you can go ahead and go back to step three and use your diffuser. With the product already settled in there I'm going to go ahead and show you how the sculpted curl looks like with a diffuser. So as you can see I just finished diffusing and then you can see on Bianca beautiful curls. They're nice, they're structured and that's just from using little product. Again less is more from mids to ends. And you can see, you know, you still have a little stragglies here and there but that's ok because that will be perfect. It just looks nice. She can walk out the door and she's outta here. Those are a couple ways to structure curly hair. I'm celebrity hairstylist David Dang and we'll catch you here next time.
