- Hi, I'm Chantal Moore, celebrity makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to get rid of redness and pimples right away. A great tip for reducing redness in a pimple is to take an ice cube and wrap it in either tissue or a paper towel or a washcloth and apply it directly to the pimple, hold for about 30 seconds, and that's going to take down some of the inflammation and redness. Now I'm going to show you how to conceal a red spot. This is the Smooth Indulgence redness concealer by Dermablend. I'm going to squeeze a little bit onto the back of my hand and you can see the color. It's actually this amazing color. You want to use this very sparingly and you just want to take a little bit on the tip of your finger, dab it right onto your blemish and you can see immediately the color canceling happening. The redness is just taken right down by this. There is a slight green pigment to this product because green cancels out red. You want to use a very very gentle motion when you're dabbing the product onto the spot. You really don't want to irritate it any more than it already is, just very gentle, feathering and just blending out the color. Now once you've done this, you're going to layer over that a concealer that matches your skin tone and just dabbing again with the ring finger very gently, just blend that right over the spot and you can see how perfectly it just blends away. You don't see that green but you also don't see the red. So you can see how beautiful this coverage is, just that redness blended out perfectly. Now we're going to set the work so you take your translucent powder and you're really just going to lightly go over this area, just tapping the powder onto the skin, just blending that out and it's just going to set that coverage for the rest of the day for you. And that's how you take out the redness from a pimple. I'm Chantal Moore. Thank you for watching.
