- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge, I'm a professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to teach you how to get rich, stunning lips. It's always great to complement your face with rich, stunning lips. It really adds drama to any outfit that you're wearing, it really actually makes you look more put together. I like to do more of a rich lip with a lighter eye. Today we have a cat eye which can also really create drama with the lips. You can do more of a look. If you want to do lie a 40's or a 50's look. So today on Kendall, I'm going to use Maybelline color sensational lip color in crazy for coffee. So the first step in creating a rich, sensational lip is to prep your lips with some lip balm, which I've already done with Kendall. So our next step is I like to, you could use a lip liner beforehand, but I like to one layer of lip stick first. So I'm just going to take my lip brush. You can also go straight from the tube and just apply a nice, thin layer of the lipstick. Just so we get a nice ideas of how rich the color is. This is such a beautiful color, and the textures just goes on so smoothly. Just glides on. So now the next step is to take a lip liner in a similar color. I'm going to use mocha, and I'm going to start by defining the lips. So I'm going to take Cupid's bow and you never want to draw over top of the natural line of your lips. You just want to trace that, but you don't want to draw outside of it. This will help the lipstick from feathering or traveling outside of the lip line and it just creates a little bit more definition and drama when you're doing a darker lip. It helps the lipstick stay on also if you fill it in just a little bit below the actual line. And then I'm going to go ahead and take another coat of the sensational lip color and apply that. And then I'm actually going to remove it well I'm going to blot it, but it will remove quite a bit of it. So just press your lips into the tissue. Do that again. And that's actually going to press the color into the lips so that it will have more staining power, and then we're going to reapply it again. And you can even put powder over this if you want to. This lipstick has just enough moisture in it to provide condition to the lips, but it's not going to provide too much shine, which I think it nice when you're doing more of a bold lip you want more of a matte look I just think that looks more striking.
