Hi, I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to get red carpet style red lips. To achieve red carpet style red lips, it's really about the polished look. So, you can see, we've prepped Taylor's makeup by giving her a really gorgeous, Hollywood eyeliner, like a black flick. And a little bit of subtle blush. We're going to finish off with a really strong red lip. So, we want the focus to really be glamorous, and really Hollywoody and red carpet. And so, to give Taylor this glamorous, red carpet look, I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Colour in British Red. So, I've chosen this British red lip color for Taylor, because it's actually very orangey-red. It'll really compliment her skin tone, make her teeth beautifully white. So, I'm just going to apply it using a flat lip brush, I'm just going to get the product on both sides. And I'm going to start just in a Cupid's bow, so just following her natural lip line. She has a beautiful shaped lip. So, but, if you want to change the shape of your lip color. To start with, to take away any lip tones. Use a bit of concealer first to give you a blank canvas to start with. So, then you can draw any shape of lip you like. So, by using the round end of the brush, it makes it easy just to follow her natural lip line. And then, go inside and on the other side too. Even though this is a bold lip color, it goes on quite subtly, so you can layer it. So, I'm just going to go in for some more product. Then again, follow on the outside, up here, using the flat edge of it, just to draw a little bit of a lip line and then, fill it in. I'm going to do the same on the bottom. So, starting in the middle, just using the flat side of it, just to get a nice bottom shape. And then, using the thinner edge, just to draw a line up and then, filling it in. And the same on the other side. So, if you make any mistakes, you just take a Q-tip and just correct anything you need to. So, you can see, that's quite a sheer look. Because it's for red carpet glamor, I'm going go over once more, just to really intensify it. When you're applying lipstick, to make it last. A good tip is to blot it half way through. If you've apply it one coat of lipstick, then you take a tissue and just blot it and then, reapply again. This will give your lipstick a lasting hold. So, I've applied the red lip color to Taylor's lips, and actually I've put three coats of it on. Just to give it a really intense look. And paired with her lovely cat eye look, she is fit for red carpet. And so, that's how you get red carpet style red lips. I'm Tara Shakespeare, thanks for watching.
