- Hi. I'm celebrity hairstylist Darico Jackson and today I'm going to show you how to prevent puffy hair in humid weather. OK. We all know how to flat iron our hair straight or how long it takes you to flat iron your hair straight. And in Sheree's case it probably took longer because her hair is natural. So, in the event you have natural hair and you've taken the time to smooth it out and you want to get something that's going to lock it in and keep it from frizzing and expanding. So, you want to try and find a product that's going to be humidity resistant, that's going to be an anti-humectant to keep the extra moisture out so the hair, the cuticle stays tight and the hair stays nice and smooth and shiny. So to lock in Sheree's style, I'm going to use the Mizani HRM, humidity resistant mist. So the humidity resistant mist is really good because it stops split ends before they start. Well obviously split ends will cause frizz. It smooths out the hair ends and adds shine, and more importantly it adds a little hold. So, in addition to locking out the frizz it's going to hold the style. All you have to do is just spray it on. And you don't want to be too close because you don't want the product to sit on top of the hair. However you do want to be close enough just do that it'll lock in that style and shine. So, not only it this locking out the excess moisture and keeping the hair from swelling but it's also protecting it from the elements, protecting it from sun damage, UV rays. It keeps the hair in to place. It locks in a hold and shine and it also protects the hair from surface damage that relaxers cause, or even that excessive use of flat irons and curling irons will cause. So, when you're looking for a product to use to puffiness, you want to find something that's going to give you nice hole, nice shine and you want something that you can use on a daily basis that won't build up. That's why I chose HRM, because it gives you an opportunity to style and restyle and prevent your hair from swelling. And that's how you prevent puffy hair in humid weather. I'm Darico Jackson. Thanks for watching.
